Protect Your Arena. Train Every Event Team. Stay Compliant Night After Night.
An arena never has just one kind of crowd. Tonight it’s a hockey game, tomorrow a sold-out concert, and the weekend brings a family show or a conference. Each event brings a different guest mix, different peak hours, and a different level of risk. Add packed concourses, premium suites, clubs, and a rotating cast of part-time staff, and a single lapse can become a serious problem a sale to a minor, service to an intoxicated guest, a food safety slip, or an allergen missed at a concession stand.
Serving Alcohol Inc. helps arenas train bartenders, concession staff, suite attendants, club servers, kitchen teams, and managers with state-approved, 100% online certification courses. We’re rated A+ by the Better Business Bureau.
Arena crowds can build quickly, with long lines before the event, at intermission, and in the final minutes before last call. Our Responsible Alcohol Service courses prepare your staff to handle that pressure by teaching them how to:

Arenas rely on full-time managers, part-time bartenders, and event-night hires who may work only a handful of shows each month. Getting everyone certified before their first shift is the best protection against compliance gaps. Our platform helps you:
When preparing for a busy event schedule, verifying staff credentials quickly can help keep the hiring process moving. Use our Certificate Search & Validation tool to check an applicant’s certificate status. Hospitality professionals looking for new opportunities can visit our Job Search Information page, while new bartenders can learn more with our Bartending License Guide.
Arenas often run several food operations at once main concourse concessions, premium club kitchens, suite catering, and pop-up stands. Each has its own food safety risks. Our food safety training helps staff:
Food handler requirements often change not just state by state, but county by county. Our Food Handler certification is accepted broadly across most states.
Exceptions: It is not accepted in Alaska, Oregon, Utah, and Washington, where food handler cards must instead be obtained directly through the local health authority.
In some states, it comes with its own “Required” or “Special Requirements” rules, like Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Ohio, and Texas.
On top of that, several states that broadly accept our certification still have specific counties or cities with their own separate rules, including parts of Alabama, Arizona, California, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, and Oklahoma.
Because of this patchwork, we recommend that arena operators verify their exact requirements, down to the county level, using our compliance team or Business Dashboard before enrolling staff. We offer dedicated Food Handler courses for the states above, plus general food safety training everywhere else.

Which arena employees need alcohol server certification?
This depends on your state. In many states, anyone who sells, serves, or delivers alcohol, including bartenders, concession servers, suite attendants, and sometimes managers, must be certified. Check your state’s course page for exact requirements.
Do part-time and event-night staff need to be certified?
In most cases, if they sell or serve alcohol or handle food, the same rules apply regardless of how many shifts they work. Confirm with your state and local authorities before they start.
Do I need both alcohol training and food handler training?
If your arena serves both food and alcohol, most states require separate certifications for each. Many operators enroll staff in both at the same time. See our Food Handler Training page for details.
How long does certification take?
Most courses are self-paced and can be completed online in under two hours.
How do I manage certifications across multiple venues or a large staff?
Set up a Business Account to enroll, track, and manage all employee certifications from a single dashboard.
